One more Chamber-meeting “Kryvyi Rih without Vilkul” on November, 29 – nasty drizzling, dummy of Vilkul burning, crush between protesters and Municipal Guard, triple Police cordon in the City Hall lobby, “Public Guard”, “Community representatives council” and “Anti-corruption committee” formation.

Meeting to support Yuri Vilkul

On November 24, 2015 there was a meeting to support Yuri Vilkul (Opposition Block member). In meeting took a part many government employees, priests of Moscow patriarchy, employees of metallurgical factories (Metinvest etc.) that belongs to Rinat Akhmeov, pensioners.

On November 22, 2015 there was one more meeting against falsification of election results  – “Kryvyi Rih without Vilkul” Chamber. At the square next to Kryvyi Rih City Hall about 3 000 people gathered together – not only Kryvyi Rih citizen but people from Dnipropetrovsk, Zhovti Vody etc. came to support. Also there were People’s Deputies of Ukraine Andriy Sadovyi, Volodymyr Parasyuk, Semyon Semenchenko, Egor Sobolev, Yaroslav Markevich, Oleg Berezyuk, deputies, activists chaplains from Kryvyi Rih.

Meeting against falsification of election results in Kryvyi Rih continues.

But today there were also a few dozens of Yuri Vilkul supporters. They stay about two hours and disappeared when supporters of democratic election process came to the square. Also at 5 p.m. People’s deputies of Ukraine Semen Semenchenko and Egor Sobolev came to the meeting. The told to the people about court session due election results and mounted a bivouac as public reception desk.

On November 15, 2015 second round of election of the Mayor of the Kryvyi Rih city took a place. In six districts of the city “Samopomich” party candidate Yuri Milobog has won. But in seventh district current Mayor Yuri Vilkul (member of Opposition Block (ex- Party of Regions)) has won. City election committee of Kryvyi Rih declared preliminary results – Yuri Vilkul has won with 752 votes advantage. On November 16 the committee to declare official results and to consider claims about fouls during election process and votes counting has been in a session. Deputies of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also have been at the session. The committee played a time and didn’t hurry to consider the claims but quickly claimed about new deputies of City Council and a new Mayor. During this near the building of City Council about 1000 citizens  gathered. They wanted a honest and clear votes counting. Also they in opposed Yuri Vilkul. About 300 policemen secured the building. In the crowd were seen so-called “titushky” and riot police in the backyard of City Council.

Session of the election committee lasted till 6 a.m. of next day. In the morning at the session of City Council of Kryvyi Rih the Head of election committee Pavlo Hyvel (member of Opposition Block) declared Yuri Vilkul as Mayor of Kryvyi Rih city.

Mariupol – beginning of September, 2014

On August 28, 2014 Novoazovsk (small city located in 40 km from Mariupol near Ukrainian-Russian border) was captured by Russian special forces and pro-Russian rebels. Since then Mariupol citizens lived under the threat of invasion. But life was going on – children went to the schools, people walked in the parks, had rest on the beach, got married, organized meeting against Russian aggression, soldiers defended neighborhood of the city. But most at night they heard sounds of mines and shells explosions.

«Don’t Give AIDS a Chance!» rock festival

On May 23, 2015 in Kryvyi Rih was held the Rock festival «Don’t Give AIDS a Chance!» HIV and AIDS Prevention Programme, GIZ Ukraine and Institute of development of Kryvyi Rih city. There were many local rock bands.
